MarzGurl.com is Now Hosted by Ghost

Welcome back to MarzGurl.com, the website where I, Kaylyn Saucedo, write about whatever I feel good about writing about, and hopefully some of you dig the same things I do.

I had previously hosted my site on Blogger/Blogspot. However, given the state of, well, pretty much everything right now, I am doing my best to migrate away from as many Google-related things as possible. For that reason, I have chosen Ghost to be my publishing home for the time being. It may look a little different around here, but you should still basically be seeing the same content, and you should still be able to get here via using the same web address. I didn't have a lot of articles to import over, anyway, seeing as how marzgurl.com is less than a year old still, which made the decision a lot easier. Otherwise it would have been a little difficult, because Blogger/Blogspot does not export their blog data like any other normal blog site. It was just easier for me to manually re-upload all my previous posts (excluding just a couple of old, unnecessary update posts).

I had previously used Ghost at the end of 2023 while on a trip to Japan with friends, and my friend Stacy had invited me to act as a guest writer on her travel blog. I rather liked Ghost as a platform from those experiences, and as such it has led me to return to Ghost for my own uses.

Anyway, welcome to the new MarzGurl.com! There's a few things it doesn't quite do just yet that I wish it did that I'm struggling to replicate over here, but for now it's serving its purpose. Looking forward to settling in with Ghost.
